Designed in 1949 by the renowned Danish furniture designer Hans Wegner, the original wishbone chair was inspired by classical portraits of Danish merchants sitting on Chinese Ming chairs. This design is considered one of Wegner's most distinguished works from his prolific portfolio of over 500 pieces.

The wishbone chair is widely used as a dining or occasional chair in stylish contemporary interiors, owing to its generous size and lightweight structure. The steam-bent back and arm rail achieve the profile of poultry wishbones through traditional manufacturing methods, while the tapered legs and natural paper cord add an exotic touch.
